So what's the job?
Devanning is the term for unloading product from containers. Oak Tree has contracts with many major logistics and freight companies to do this work. Clients book jobs through our app which sends a notification straight to you, our devanners.
Most jobs require a small team, working together to unload the product onto pallets. Sometimes you may also need to shrink wrap and fork-lift the product to the right place.
We also load containers and have contracts to provide casual labour and forklift drivers as our clients need it.
What's the pay like?
Our devanners get paid at a fixed rate per container, which varies depending on container size. Completing the job as fast as possible means a better rate, and more time in the day for you.
What skills do I need?
The most valuable asset you can have is reliability - the ability to arrive at work on time is essential. It is also important to have:
Physical strength
Neatness and accuracy
Attention to detail
A forklift license is helpful but not required
What else do I need?
We will support you in getting everything you need to do the job safely but you will need access to transport to get to and from work.
