Introducing Jamie Dale!

Introducing Jamie Dale, our Operations Manager here at Oak Tree! Since joining us in 2020, Jamie has used his extensive experience in operations and management to make a significant impact on Oak Tree.

He began his career as a furniture removalist in Christchurch and, after a stint overseas, returned to Christchurch as an operations manager. Jamie later joined our team while completing his Diploma in NZ Business and Project Management.

Reflecting on his four years with us, Jamie says, “One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is witnessing our staff excel and succeed, especially considering the barriers some of our devanners have faced in the past. Seeing their achievements brings me immense happiness and pride.”

One of the major challenges Jamie faces in his role is maintaining staffing levels as the business expands. Balancing the number of staff members is crucial, and our ProDevan App has been a significant development in managing this. Jamie points out, “We are currently in a growth phase at Oak Tree, having strategically focused on refining our processes in recent years. Our investment in enhancing ProDevan has transformed it into a pivotal tool that significantly enhances our operational efficiency. As a result, we've successfully reopened our operations in Auckland and are now planning our next steps."

"Over the next few years, I envision Oak Tree expanding its footprint to include more locations across New Zealand. Additionally, we're exploring opportunities to establish a presence in Australia.”

Since joining us in 2020 one of Jamie’s most memorable achievements was the successful expansion back into Auckland last year. This milestone was largely due to the efforts of Jamie and his team in Christchurch. Building a strong relationship with one of our key Christchurch customers proved pivotal, as the partnership enabled us to begin operating in one of their Auckland branches. It served as a significant opportunity that opened doors for further expansion into the Auckland market.

As Oak Tree continues to grow and thrive, Jamie balances his professional accomplishments with his personal life. Although all this keeps him pretty busy, on Jamie’s days off he spends quality time with his family. “I have a three-year-old girl and a six-month-old boy, and being a father to them is an amazing experience. However, it's also quite exhausting! I cherish these moments with my children and my wife, whether we're enjoying activities at home, exploring outdoors, or simply relaxing together.”

We’re stoked to see Jamie’s work come to fruition and excited to see how Oak Tree continues to flourish as we move forward!
